Set in the awe inspiring Carr Boyd Range on the banks of Lake Argyle in the remote East Kimberley of Western Australia, the Lake Argyle Adventure Race incorporates a 3 km swim, 29km paddle, 40 km mountain bike and 10 km run to provide a remarkable Kimberley race experience.

Competitors enter the fresh water expanse of Lake Argyle and swim towards Chinyin Island. Returning to the starting point there's a savage 13 degree driveway scramble before a short sprint across the dam wall to T1 - paddle craft transition. Slip into the thumping Ord River and glide through ancient gorges cut through millennia before coming ashore at The Fig Tree out on Long Michael Plain Road. T2 has competitors heading out along 4WD tracks, service roads, single track and the occasional creek crossing on their mountain bikes in pursuit of more stunning views. T3 sends runners out along the breathtaking trail framing Bamboo Cove, past historic Durack Homestead and two crossings of the dam wall.....all the way down and all the way up. The race concludes in the grounds of the Lake Argyle Resort with lashings of East Kimberley hospitality.
